Secrets AI combines character conversations with an unusually detailed set of documented memory controls. Its strongest reason to enter your shortlist is the ability to inspect saved information, correct it and decide which conversations share it. Its main buying complication is that subscription access and Moments are separate: unlimited paid chat does not mean unlimited images, audio or video.

Consider Secrets AI if you want a continuing AI companion and are willing to manage the information behind that continuity. Someone who wants short everyday messages can investigate the free allowance first. A writer who needs branching conversations should examine Premium. Group scenes and separate user personas make Ultimate relevant to a different, more demanding workflow.

Hold off if you require proven recall accuracy, a memory export button or one flat fee for unrestricted multimedia use. The documentation explains controls and allowances; it does not establish how consistently a character will follow a complicated brief. Secrets AI pricing: Free, Premium and Ultimate

The subscription documentation lists these US-dollar prices. Confirm the billing term and total in your own checkout; offers can change.

Free has a documented daily limit of 20 user messages; the chat guide describes a reset 24 hours after the first message. Paid tiers list unlimited ordinary messaging. Ultimate adds group chat, personas, proactive messaging and personality editing. A lower annual equivalent is an upfront commitment, not monthly cancellation at that equivalent price.

Choose a tier by the feature you need. Paying twice as much for Ultimate is difficult to justify if Premium already covers your conversations and you do not need group features. Conversely, buying extra Moments does not turn a Premium account into Ultimate or unlock every tier-specific control.

How Moments change the cost of images and voice

The Moments guide distinguishes monthly grants, which reset, from purchased top-ups, which do not. Buying Moments requires a paid subscription. It lists base image generation at 50 Moments, Advanced images at 100 and audio calls at 50 per minute. Standard and Advanced video costs depend on the selected settings. Use the displayed generation cost, not an assumed universal video rate.

A positive remainder is room for additional charged activity, not a guarantee of a particular number of satisfying results. Include retries and extra references where charged. If the image style you actually select costs more than the example, change the rate before making a plan decision. Keep cash spent and Moments consumed on separate lines.

Memory controls: what you can inspect and correct

The memory documentation describes automatically saved facts, a memory panel, importance levels and conversational corrections. Smart Mode searches earlier context before a reply. Memories are associated with individual companions. The provider documents deletion and importance changes, but says a direct memory export is not currently available.

Our editorial assessment is that visibility makes a memory system easier to evaluate. A wrong answer can have different causes: the relevant fact was never saved, an outdated fact remains, or the model failed to use an accurate record. Those are different problems, and a longer context window does not diagnose them for you.

A small correction experiment

Use fictional information: your adult character Alex organizes a weekend book club, initially on Saturday. Ask the companion to retain that detail, inspect the memory record, then change the meeting to Sunday. After an unrelated exchange, ask which day the club meets. Save both the record and the reply.

1. If no fact is saved, test a clearer instruction before upgrading.
2. If both days remain, resolve the conflicting record and repeat.
3. If the record says Sunday but the reply says Saturday, record a retrieval or response failure.
4. Repeat on a later visit using the same companion and settings.

Chat, roleplay and changing a conversation

The chat guide documents SMS and Paragraph reply modes, sent-message editing and Time Travel on paid plans. Editing an earlier message removes the subsequent branch. Preserve anything you want to keep before rewinding. A setting that helps produce a longer answer does not ensure better character consistency.

For a clean evaluation, give one original adult character a clear objective and one obstacle. For example, Alex must pick three books for a small reading group but only one can be long. Ask for a choice, then change the available reading time. Evaluate whether the response updates the plan while retaining the character’s style. Audio playback and a live audio call are different activities. The chat guide meters text-to-speech by character count; call time uses a minute-based rate. Do not use the call rate to estimate how much reading a long written reply aloud will cost.

Group chat and shared memory need deliberate setup

The group-chat documentation places groups on Ultimate and supports two or three companions. Each participant can use private group memory or an existing shared memory group. Once assigned, a memory group cannot be changed for that participant; changing the membership requires a new group conversation.

Decide the story boundary before starting. If one character should know the book-club history and another is meeting Alex for the first time, sharing every memory would undermine that premise. Keep a simple record of who should know each fact. An apparently impressive recalled detail is a mistake when it belongs to a different fictional timeline.

Privacy, cancellation and practical limitations

The subscription guide says cancellation retains paid access until the billing period ends. The quickstart describes account deletion separately. Treat stopping renewal, removing a saved fact and deleting an account as separate decisions. Keep the provider’s confirmation and any original character notes you want to retain.

We have not audited the provider’s security or tested its full deletion process. Use harmless fictional details during evaluation and avoid treating a companion conversation as confidential professional advice. A visible memory panel is useful product control, not evidence that all backend data handling has been independently verified.

Strengths and tradeoffs of this AI companion platform

The practical advantages are the documented controls: a memory interface you can inspect, ways to steer a reply and a published basis for calculating media usage. The tradeoffs are the extra work of maintaining a coherent backstory, the separation between a subscription and media credits, and the need to preserve your own material before changing a conversation branch.

For everyday conversation, keep the setup short and let the AI respond before adding more background. For long-form storytelling or complex roleplay scenarios, write a separate scene record: who is present, what each character knows and which version of the story should continue. That helps distinguish a confusing prompt from a memory retention problem.

Visual polish and an immersive voice can make AI companionship engaging, but realism is a preference you need to assess yourself. Compare whether the platform lets you express and maintain the character you intended. A convincing tone is not evidence of emotional intelligence or reliable understanding.
